About Campton Racing

What’s Adam Camptons background?
Adam comes from a fabulous racing family, his late grandfather Les Coles guided Even Stevens to the Caulfield and Melbourne Cups double in 1962. His father is a multiple Group One-winning jockey and successful trainer Neil Campton. Neil won the Golden Slipper as a jockey in 1968 riding Royal Parma.

Adam is a passionate racing man, he developed his skills comprehensively under respected trainers in Australia. Internationally he enhanced his over a successful four-year period working for the Hong Kong Jockey Club.

Adam ability to comprehensively analyse form developed from his grounding; working as a bookmaker for seven years. This is a great asset when planning horses programs, identifying the right races to get the best out of each of our horses.
What’s Special About Campton Racing?
Adam and partner Tayla run a boutique-style stable with a hands-on approach, each horse genuinely receives tailored training. Campton Racing boasts a notable success rate, with a winning strike rate consistently around 20% - one of the highest in the country.
How do you select horses for racing success?
We carefully assess pedigree, conformation, and temperament. Then we cross reference the physical and pedigrees with the data to identify the most appropriate yearlings.

Campton Racings’ had success with tried horses as well as identifying underperforming tried horses like Lord Markel (5 wins), Deepour (4 straight wins) and Hodgson (3 consecutive wins) so horses can improve from our tailored training and a change to enjoy the Gold Coast life.

About Camptons Stables

What’s so special about these?
Campton racing has a private stable facility with 48 boxes opposite the Gold Coast Turf Club. There are also large outdoor boxes providing a special change of environment for the horses. On site treadmill and cold spa ensures extra training and recovery tools at our fingertips.

Having a private stables facility controls disease and sickness as our sole occupation prevents public access, it prevents other horses accessing our stables.
What are the training facilities like?
We have exclusive access to all our own equipment on site which is very important. Additionally we are right opposite the beautiful Gold Coast Turf Club so Campton Racing have full use of both the grass and poly training facilities.

Behind us we have the equine swimming pool which Adam uses on a daily basis with significant number of horses in training

In house we have a treadmill, horse spa, two walkers and around the corner from our stable we have great beach we use extensively to help get the very best out of our animals.

Training Fees

How does Campton Racing fees compare?
Our fees are competitive. Given we operate from our own stables we control our costs so our fees are affordable.
How are we billed?
You are billed monthly, you’ll receive a single account reflecting your percentage of the costs for each horse you have with Campton Racing.
How is prize money paid?
You’ll receive your percentage of all prize money earned directly from the racing associations such as Racing Queensland or Racing NSW.
