Adam has long held a passion for racing and developed his skills in the sport across a number of different roles under some of the most respected trainers in Australia, before joining Unibet and learning from some very astute form analysts.
Adam then further developed his skills internationally during a four year period working for one of the world’s biggest racing organisations, the Hong Kong Jockey Club.
In that time, Adam looked after the HKJC’s Young Members, while he also had the opportunity to learn from the best trainers and jockeys in the world. Adam never lost sight of his dream to one day join the training ranks so, together with his partner Tayla Whalley Adam returned to Australia.
Operating from their own stables opposite the Gold Coast Course, Adam and Tayla quickly established their boutique operation, it didn’t take long for them to sustain one of the highest win strike rates in Australia.

His family legacy includes notable figures like Golden Slipper-winning jockey Neil Campton and Melbourne Cup winner Les Coles, ensuring a deep understanding of the sport.

From the daily trackwork to fastidious analysis of the feed quality, oversight of the spelling and agistment every aspect of your horses progress is carefully managed. The placement in races and selection of jockeys is managed by Adam and Tayla, nothing is left to chance.
While trainers often claim they personalise the training process, at Campton racing it’s what we do.
Being a really hands on training team we genuinely focus on tailoring the training program to meet the unique needs of each horse, then we manage it carefully. We don’t delegate the training to a satellite foreman, each horses progress is managed by Adam Campton and his direct team.
And our owners enjoy honest, open and regular communications. Whether you’re a longstanding or new client of the stable our communication and honesty is a refreshing difference.
We’re focused on ensuring our training fees are fair.
Because our cost base is lower being located away from the major capital cities (but close enough to race our horses there) we’re able to ensure our fees are lower than those of our city colleagues.
Operating from our own private stables (see the next section) and being opposite the racecourse we save significantly on third party costs and save on transport as we walk our horses to trackwork lowering your monthly bill.

This secure, safe, modern facility ensuring the best environment for horses to thrive. Then we have full access to all the training tracks and facilities at the Gold Coast Turf Club opposite. Of-course, were only a few minutes away from the beach, another valuable component of our training program.
Importantly we have relationships with some of the preeminent spelling facilities in South East Queensland. This helps our horses grow, develop and recover when they commence racing.
